The Afro-Celt Sound System are a musical group which attempts to fuse modern dance rhythms (trip-hop, techno, etc) with Celtic? and African influences without overwhelming either. Formed by Grammy?-nominated producer Simon Emmerson, it is somewhat of a world music super-group, featuring such artists such as;

  1. N'Faly Kouyate (kora, balaphon, vocals)
  2. Moussa Sissokho (djembe, talking drum)
  3. James McNally? (ex-Pogues?)
  4. Iarla O'Lionaird (vocals)
  5. Myrdhin (Breton harp)
  6. Martin Russell (keyboards)
  7. Davy Spillane (uilleann pipes)
  8. Ronan Browne (uilleann pipes)
