The Porsche 924 was the first automobile sold by Porsche fitted with a front-mounted, water-cooled engine. Originally designed for VAG to be a replacement for the co-branded [Porsche 914]?, it was later released as a Porsche only design in 1976. A large number of components originated from VAG though, including the engine. |
