The recent weeks have been the time of very significant clashes in Wikipedia surrounding the description and discussion of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. For every issue that there is, one can devise an inflamatory way of stating his opinion about it. This is more than correct regarding the events in Middle East.

Flaming is just about the easiest thing one can do. However the more we flame, the more Wikipedia, which is supposed to be everyone's encyclopedia turns into noone's encyclopedia. Is this what we want?

I propose that the issue should be discussed, and conclusions should be made. We have to reach some sort of an arragement which would prevent the creation of flame wars in the future, and freeze the ones that exist now.

As of now, I consider the issues that need to be frozen as those regarding Palestinians, Israelis and the politics between them. These articles should either be deleted, or reversed to dry facts (CIA World Factbook). Of course, this should also apply to the relevant historical discussions.

I call upon everyone who agrees with the need of these or similar steps to state so in the /Talk? section. It is not about our political views; it is about making Wikipedia a better place for all of us.
