Time Division Multiple Access or
TDMA is one of the second generation
mobile phone technology.
It uses digital technology to timeshare the bandwidth of the carrier wave.
It increases to 3 to 6 times capacity of
AMPS.
It improved security and privacy.
Time Division Multiple Access, one standard for shared medium (usually radio) networks. Allows several users to share the same frequency by dividing it into different time slots. Used in the GSM digital cellular standard, among others.
