God as unitary being. There are three major views of the role of God in the world in this context: proper Theism is the view that God is immanent

Deism is the view that God created the world but does not interact with it; and the view that the world is the whole or a part of God is called
Pantheism or
Panentheism respectively.
The monotheistic religions, such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, are typically theistic.
More generically, the belief in one or more gods.
