Rape

The criminal offence of having sexual intercourse with someone without their consent. In some places (e.g. some parts of Australia), the offence is called "[sexual assault]?" instead. Rape can also mean sexual intercourse with a consenting person which the law however provides is too young to legally consent; this is called statutory rape.
