The term poultry refers to the flesh of birds, used as food. Those most typically used are members of the orders Galliformes? (chickens, turkeys, and "game" birds such as pheasant?s) and Anseriformes? (waterfowl such as duck?s and geese?), though occasionally other birds such as doves may be used.
