Johannes Longinus (Jan Dlugosz) (1415-1480) was a historian (a chronicler?) and a secretary of Bishop Zbigniew Olesnicki.

He was a canon of Cracow educated at Jagiellonian University in Cracow. Later he was involved in negotiations with the Teutonic Knights for the Polish king Casimir IV before and during the Thirteen Years' War (1454-66) and at the peace negotiations.
