Gulf

A gulf or bay is a part of a lake or ocean that extends so that it is surrounded by land on three sides.

Well-known bays and gulfs (in alphabetic order) include:

• Gulf of Finland
• Persian Gulf
• Red Sea
• San Francisco Bay

A couple of non-gulfs (actually strait?s) are:

• Gulf of Oman
• [Gulf of Aden]?
