Is it really correct to describe cave paintings as grafitti? It seems more comparable to the paintings in the Sistine chapel, somehow.
I had that thought just as you were writing this and I changed it.
There are examples of Roman grafitti on Egyptian monuments and Viking grafitti in Rome, should this be mentioned?
Yes, absolutely, particularly if you have any details (I don't...).
