Faith healing is withholding
medical treatment and relying
solely on spiritual means to treat an illness.
Faith healing is by some
people regarded another method of treatment of a
disease. The majority of
those people resort to faith healing in cases of otherwise incurable diseases.
However there are groups that believe in faith healing as the sole intervention
in any health problem.
There is a serious legal problem when faith healing is used in case of children.
Parents argue that they have a constitutional guarantee of religious freedom
that gives them the right to refuse medical care for their children.
