- Founded: 1960, as a charter member of the American Football League, a rival to the NFL which was formed in 1960. When the NFL and the AFL merged in 1970, Denver was placed in the American Football Conference West division, where it remains today.
- Home stadium: Denver played in Mile High Stadium (formerly Bears Stadium) from its inception through the 2000 season. They currently play in the new stadium, which has some sort of corporate-sponsored name.
- Uniform colors: Blue and orange.
