Contraception

Contraception, also known as birth control, is the utilization of various and sundry surgical procedures, devices, practices, agents, or drugs with the intention of preventing conception or impregnation (pregnancy).

There are various kinds of contraception (and an excellent idea for articles would have information about each kind):

• Oral contraceptives ("The Pill")

• Abstinence (many would call this not a method of contraception, but an alternative to contraception)
