The Christian-Democratic Union (CDU - Christlich Demokratische Union) is a political party in Germany, founded by Konrad Adenauer. Current party leader [Angela Merkel]?.

In Bavaria, CDU's role is instead played by CSU. The two sister parties cooperate on the federal level.
