Reich - the German word for "empire". Often used by right-wing extremists in
Germany to describe their country,
probably to evocate the regime of
Adolf Hitler, that his
movement called
Das Dritte Reich, ('The Third Reich') (
1933-
1945). The first and second Reich were the
Holy Roman Empire (mid
10th century-
1806) and the empire headed by [Kaiser Wilhelm]
? and [Wilhelm II]

1918).
