Quail

A collective name for several genera of small poultry, much favoured in french cooking. There are several common species of quail:

• [Mountain Quail]? (Oreortyx pictus)

Quail are both domesticated and wild; wild quail are a popular game bird. The eggs of the quail are considered a delicacy.
