He played during the 2000-2001 season, but was traded in summer 2001 to the New York Islanders? for Zdeno Chara, Bill Muckault and the Islanders' first round pick, which the Senators used to draft Jason Spezza.
The current star players on the Senators include forwards Daniel Alfredsson, Radek Bonk, Marian Hossa, Shawn McEachern? and Martin Havlat, defenceman Wade Redden and goaltender Patrick Lalime.
