The
Oder (know in
Polish as the
Odra) river flows from
Silesia into the
Baltic Sea north of
Stettin,
Pomerania -- more exactly it flows into a bay called Grosse Haff.
North-west of the Haff is the
Usedom Peninsula and north-east is the
Wollin Peninsula.
These two peninsulas are almost completely connected with only a very narrow passage way going in between out to the bay of Pomerania, which is a part of the Baltic Sea.
