Norwegian is a
Germanic language spoken in
Norway. There are two modern varieties of the written language, Bokmål and Nynorsk, but the spoken language is made up of a myriad of different dialects. Norwegian is closely related to, and mutually intelligible with
Swedish and
Danish.
