Lake Superior

The largest of North America's Great Lakes. It is the largest lake in the world with the exception of the Caspian Sea. Lake Superior has a surface area of 82,000 square kilometers (32,000 sq. mi.). It borders Ontario in Canada, and Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan in the United States of America. It is an important shipment route for iron ore and is part of the [St. Lawrence Seaway]?.

The largest island in Lake Superior is Isle Royale National Park.
