Kurfuersten Damm

Kurfuersten Damm is named for the former Kurfuersten/Electors of the Holy Roman Empire. During the time of the separation of East and West Berlin the Kurfuersten Damm became the number one business street, the main street, of West-Berlin. Kurfuersten Damm starts at Bahnhof Zoo at the [Berlin Zoo]? and runs through Charlottenburg?. The Berliner nickname is 'Ku Damm' (Ku sounds like Kuh which would be in English 'Cow Avenue').
