Kültigin (Prince Kül) was the brother of
Bilge Khan and co-administrator of the
Kokturk empire. He was killed in a war against a branch of Oguz Turks (a tribe of Turkic people that gave way to the establishment of
Seljuks and
Ottoman Empire several centuries later) on 732 AD. His life story and advices on state administration are carved on one of the monuments named as
Orhon inscriptions.
