Frederick I William of Prussia , was born 1657 in
Koenigsberg Prussia . He acceeded as Elector of Brandenburg in 1688 upon the death of his father Friedrich Wilhelm the Great Elector.
In 1701 he became king of Prussia . He died in Berlin in 1713.
His son was Frederick William I , king of Prussia, born 1688.
