[Home]Frames per second

HomePage | Recent Changes | Preferences

Frames per second (often abbreviated fps, but not to be confused with FPS or First-Person Shooter) is the measurement of the number of individual frames a computer program (or any other animation) can produce in one second, as well as the number of frames exposed in a videocamera each second. See also persistence of vision.
