Elizabeth I, (1538? - 1603) Queen of England.

Elizabeth, known as The Virgin Queen, ruled a religiously divided England at the end of the 16th century. She was the daughter of Henry VIII and [Anne Boleyn]?.

She took over from her half-sister Mary I.

She is often considered one of the greatest British Monarchs as she presided over an immense floursihing of culture and economics.

She never married and eventually died childless ending the Tudor dynasty. She was succeeded by James I of England, her cousin Mary, Queen of Scots' son, who was already James VI of Scotland.
