Decade

A decade is defined as ten years. The word derives from the Latin or Greek word for ten. Decades are normal for arranging political and literary movements. For an overview of history organized this way, see decades.

Isn't decade also term commonly used in another fashion? IIRC, when measuring something on the decibel scale, a "change in decade" meant "a change by ten".
