The Civil Rights Act of 1964 (CRA'64) in America was landmark legislation. The original purpose of the Bill was to protect black men from job discrimination, but at the last minute in an attempt to kill the bill, women were included. As a result it formed the political impetus for feminism and it's quick rise to power with the takeover of the democratic party in '72 by use of the "quota system". CRA'64 transformed American society.
