These are the humble beginnings of a collection of Chinese proverbs, given in (and sorted by) Pinyin transcription.

(The old horse in the stable still wants to run 1000 li¹., i.e. old people still may have great plans)

¹ li: Chinese linear measure, corresponds to about .5 kilometers
