These are the humble beginnings of a collection of Chinese proverbs, given in (and sorted by) Pinyin transcription.

(adding legs when painting a snake, i.e. ruining something by an unnecessary addition)

(The old horse in the stable still wants to run 1000 li1., i.e. old people still may have great plans)

(If there is someone who has stamina, things will get accomplished.)

1 li: Chinese linear measure, corresponds to about .5 kilometers
