Andreas Schlueter

Andreas Schlueter was born in 1660 in Danzig Prussia. H became a famous Prussian architect and built many State buildings.

His fame brought him to work in Sankt Petersburg, were he got ill and soon succumed.

The Prussian castle in Berlin was partially destroyed by bombing in WW II . It could have been restored, but the Communist regime tore it down. In its place they put a communist "palace".
