The Academy Awards are the most prominent film award in the UnitedStates. The Awards are granted by the AcademyofMotionPictureArtsandSciences?, a professional honorary organization with over 6000 members currently.

Academy Awards are nicknamed "Oscars", which is also the nickname of the statuette. Awards are given in many categories, including /BestPicture, /BestDirectory?,/ BestActor?, and /BestActress?.
