Ubiquitous Computing aims to move computing away from the desktop and distribute it in the environment. The hope is that this embedding of computation in our environment would enable us to move around and interact with computers more naturally than we do today.

The late Mark Weiser wrote the some of the [seminal papers in Ubiquitous Computing] Although we are nowhere near the agenda that Wieser set for practioners in this field, a lot of development is going on right now!
