* Local base. A set of open neighbourhoods of a point p of a topological space X is a local base for the topology on X if every open set containing x is a superset of some member of the base.

* Local base. A set B of open neighbourhoods of a point x of a topological space X is a local base at x if every neighbourhood of x contains some member of B.
