*The anarcho-syndicalist CNT was the largest labor organization in Spain & was most prominent in fighting the attempted fascist coup by Franco, leading to the [Spanish Revolution] & civil war in 1936.

*A major figure & proponent of anarcho-syndicalism was [Rudolf Rocker]. In the US the best known syndicalist union is the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW).
