The trick is to first add to the Timeline:
[/Timeline December 2001]? (which didn't exist yet because I don't like adding to Wikipedia much any more)

then the best place for the entry within the current framework is probably
[/Rescue and recovery effort]?, a page which needs a lot of work.

But the number one answer is to be bold in editing pages. Just stick it in somewhere, and if you can't find a place to put it, make one.
