Intelligence is the measure of how intelligent a person is.
While there is much controversy about exactly what intelligence is, it is roughly the ability to acquire and use knowledge.

Attempts have been made (the success of which is yet another matter of controversy) to measure the intelligence of humans and other animals. See Intelligence testing.
