Difference (from prior major revision) (minor diff, author diff)

Changed: 1c1
On a large scale, hydrology is the study of water, and how it cycles through our environment. There are several different aspects, such as ocean hydrology, which deal with salinity, and the effect of certain biotic and abiotic factors on the ecosystems in the water. There is also the study of how water, and the pollutants that come with it, flow through the ground. Groundwater is a major area of interest, as is acidification.
