Catherine Coleman (born December 14, 1960, in South Carolina) is a lieutenant colonel in USAF and a female astronaut, who conducted two Columbia? space shuttle missions in 1995 and 1999. As a speacialist in chemistry she took place in several scientific experiments including biotechnology, combustion science and the physics of fluids.
