Leopold is /Superintendent Chalmers' asisstant. He is a surley, snarling one-trick pony; when a staff member at Springfield Elementary has to be temporarly replaced, Leopold stomps in, issues vague threats and terrifies the children, making them think he is the replacement, and then suddenly and politely introduces the actual substitue. The children then collectively sigh with relief.
