Law of physics

A Law of physics is a mathematical relationship between measurable quantities that describe the physical state and properties of bodies. This is a fundamental concept in physics.

A famous example is Newton's law of gravity. A law is valid over a range of values, and sometimes ceases to be valid outside it. For example, said Newton's law is not completely accurate for high masses, where Einstein's General relativity has to be used.
