Deicide were formed Florida! in about 1989 after a group called Amon split up, they had some material written so with the new name Deicide they quickly released their debut cd entitled 'Deicide' (which means killing of god. The band line up has never changed since their formation, Glen Benton on bass, Eric and Brian Hoffman (yes brothers) on guitars, and Steve Asheim on drums, they have released:
1990-Deicide. 1992-Legion. 1993-Amon:Feasting the Beast (Their Amon demo tape) 1995-Once Upon The Cross. 1997-Serpents Of The Light. 1998-When Satan Lives (A live album recorded at the house of blues in chicago) 2000-Insineratehym. 2001-In Torment In Hell. There best stuff is the the live album and the albums before it, the last two aren't quite as good but still worth a look if you love Deicide or want to get into them.
