The
Wikipedia statistics referring to the size of
Wikipedia; mostly page and article count. For interest's sake, the advertisements for
Encyclopedia Britannica's 2002 edition proudly proclaim they have over 85 000 articles.
So far, most of this has been drawn from Wikipedia Announcements.
How it's measured
The general goal has been to make as conservative a count as possible, by excluding anything that may be considered a non-article.

- Comma pp. Comma pages: pages which include a comma, a statistically useful way of finding "real" articles.
- 150+ etc. 150+ characters: pages with at least 150 characters.
- Wkpdns Wikipedians' pages and subpages: calculated from a list of those signing their contributions. Any page with one of those names gets excluded from the count as a Wikipedian.
- Wkpd Pages about Wikipedia: contain "ikipedia" in title.
- Talk /Talk pages.
- Lists 27 Biographical Listing indexes (main index+A-Z); 36 Complete list of encyclopedia topics pages and subpages (0-9,A-Z).
