The [University of Wisconsin]?, [Indiana University]?, Yale University, and the [National Optical Astronomy Observatories]? (NOAO).

The universities financed the construction of the WIYN Observatory at Kitt Peak National Observatory in 1994 while the NOAO operates the facility.

The WIYN Observatory houses a innovative 3.5 metre, 46 ton telescope.
