Tuner is an electronic device that can tune to broadcast electromagnetic signals by adjusting its circuitry to match the natural frequency of the device to that of the carrier wave.

In some contexts, tuner is also known as the receiver?. However, in modern days hi-fi terminology, receiver and tuner refer to two different devices.
