Tierra del Fuego

Tierra del Fuego is the largest island at the southernmost tip of South America. Since 1881 it is divided between Argentina and Chile. It is separated from the continent by the [Strait of Magellan]?. Its name come from the fires (fuego in spanish) that Europeans observed passing by it.
