SETI

SETI is short for "Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence". In SETI projects data gathered by the world's largest radiotelescopes are analysed for artificial patterns using supercomputer?s

As an alternative to supercomputers one of the largest distributed computing projects in the world has been established to do SETI analysis of signals. Notice that this project is not an example of parasitic computing.
