Science of understanding the link beteen psychology and physiology. Psychologists are interested why we may fear spiders?. Physiologists may be interested in the input/output system of the amygdala?. Psychophysiologist will attempt at linking the two. He will try to explain arachnophobia in terms of impulsation coming in and out of the amygdala
