Potsdamer Platz

Potsdamer Platz, a traffic circle in Berlin, Germany having several streets branching out, was once the busiest traffic center in all of Europe. After heavy WWII Allied bombardment of Berlin, the Platz and surrounding area was only a shell. During communist times, the Potsdamer Platz was cut in half by the Berlin Wall and the area became totally desolate.
