It's also quite blatantly biased in places. It contains a lot of good text about how liberals think about themselves and describe themselves, but if we can only use it without changes, it's worthless.

I agree. Not just blatantly biased, but also factually questionable or at least highly idiosyncratic. For example, it claims that the liberal position is that all drugs be legalized, but that doesn't seem to be a major tenet of many (any?) liberal politicians or groups. Most would probably support legalizing marijuana, or at least making the penalties less severe, and they would of course support efforts to ensure that drugs abused by the rich (regular cocaine) are punished on an equal basis with drugs abused by the poor (crack cocaine). But that's hardly the same as the legalization proposed by the author.
