Polish army consists mostly of conscript soldiers. Its military usefulness is questioned and most of its weapons and other hardware is obsolete.

During communism, most of Polish army was located on western border. Currently size of army is being reduced, and it is moved to other parts of country.

Liberal politicians propose moving to professional army. Unfortunatelly other politicians don't support such reform.
