Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) is a standard bus for attaching peripheral expansion cards to a computer motherboard. It is common in PCs but is also used in other types of computer.

The specification of PCI covers physical size of the bus (including wire spacing), electrical characteristics, bus timing and protocols.
